Their story began in 2014 when Kerys moved from Kitchener, Ontario to Drumheller, Alberta Shortly after landing, Kerys bumped into Miranda while out for a drive. They clicked instantly, especially over their shared love for thrift stores. Kerys had this gut feeling that they were destined for something big.
Back in spring 2018, Kerys and Miranda took the plunge and tied the knot, kicking off a wild ride together.
Kerys always had this itch to be his own boss, a dream he'd been nursing for ages. Miranda, on the other hand, was busy being an Education Assistant at a local school, molding young minds.
Thanks to Miranda's thrift shopping wisdom and Kerys' relentless drive, Badland Bargains was born. It's a testament to their combined hustle and dreams, mixing business with pleasure in the best way possible.

We stumbled upon an unexpected gem for our retail venture – a spot that wouldn't typically be associated with a store front.
Kris, from Attention 2 Detail, offered us a modest office space, but soon it became apparent that it was too cramped for our ambitious plans. Within six months, we faced a pivotal choice: relocate or expand within the same premises. After careful deliberation, we concluded that seizing the entire space was the optimal move for our business.
This location boasts an impressive overhead door, facilitating effortless loading and unloading of donations. Additionally, it features a spacious compound at the rear, offering ample outdoor area. And let's not forget our wonderful neighbors who contribute to the vibrant atmosphere.

Kerys and Miranda? They've got four awesome munchkins who are their whole world, no matter what - the good, the bad, and the downright hilarious.
You know, when they started this business, sure, they wanted to give back to the community and support all those amazing organizations. But you know what else? They wanted to build something for their kids too. Something they could call their own when they grow up. How cool is that?
